First and Second Grade Science
Dear MCMA Families,
My name is Amanda Dobberowsky and I am very excited to be here at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy. This will be my ninth year teaching here and I am very enthusiastic about Science and Lower Elementary. I have taught 1st grade, a 1st/2nd grade blend, and have been specializing in 1st and 2nd Grade Science for 4 years now. I am a graduate of Wayne State University where I received my B.S. degree in University Honors and Elementary Education and am currently attending Wayne State to obtain my masters in Early Childhood Education. In addition to teaching, I enjoy camping, fishing, playing board games, and spending time with my husband and 2 baby girls Grace and Kate, our goldendoodle Sammi, and our kittens Harry and Lloyd. As a family we are attempting to visit and conquer all of the Major League Baseball parks. We've already been to the original Yankee Stadium and the former Florida Marlin's park. We've also been to the home of the Tigers, Phillies, Pirates, Brewers, Rays, White Sox, Cubs, Indians, Mariners, Blue Jays, Braves, Reds, Rockies, and the new Marlin's stadium. Mrs. Doberowsky's Favorites: Children's Authors: Jan Brett and Tomie dePaola Children's Series: Junie B. Jones and Harry Potter Colors: Green and Purple Food: Italian and Mexican Dessert: Brownies and Ice Cream Sport: Baseball Places to Visit: Ludington & Florida Season: Fall To make this a successful year for all our 1st and 2nd graders, it is very important that we work together - teachers, parents, and students. Feel free to contact me with any questions and or concerns you may have. I can be reached by calling the school at 586-465-5545 or by e-mail [email protected]. While during the day I am spending most my time with the students. I check my email every morning before school starts and in the evening at home. If it is urgent and during school hours it is best to call the school and they will get the message to me. Sincerely, Mrs. Dobberowsky |
